It's Will Turpin's October Newsletter, and The Lighthouse LIVE is now on iTunes!
Hi Friends, and welcome to my October newsletter!
Today is the day! The Lighthouse (+ LIVE) is now on iTunes (https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/the-lighthouse/id704959664)!!
Earlier this year I hosted a live online concert from Real 2 Reel Studios where the band and I played songs from The Lighthouse live, plus a few choice covers and a brand new song! Now, for the first time, the songs from The Lighthouse are now available worldwide via iTunes, Amazon.com (http://www.amazon.com/The-Lighthouse-Will-Turpin/dp/B00F4IFI1E) , Google Play (https://play.google.com/store/music/album/Will_Turpin_The_Lighthouse) and other digital music stores. The bonus tunes are available exclusively on my Bandcamp (http://willturpin.bandcamp.com) page with a full EP purchase.
We also captured video of the performance and you can check out one of the videos below.
In other news, I'm hosting another Music Fest to benefit the Kensley Grace Foundation (http://www.kensleygrace.com) and Christmas is just around the corner... time to check out the Christmas tune I recorded for charity - - keep on reading... Thanks for being on the list!
** Music Fest to benefit the Kensley Grace Foundation, Nov 9 at Southside Steve's **
November 9th at Southside Steve's in McDonough I am hosting another Music Fest to benefit the Kensley Grace Foundation. Last time we had a lot of bands sharing the stage and doing 45 minute sets. I wanted to do something different this time around. So... the compromise I came up with was an "All-star" set that would include artist & friends from Atlanta area to be included on a 90 minute set. The set will feature a number of different musicians including Shane Evans, Jason A Fowler, Jonathen Parrot as well as some "very special guest" yet to be announced. I'm excited about the possibilities and I think everyone is going to be engaged and love the show.
Other performances at the Fest include the Reluctant Saints and Bill Turpin & the Shoulderbone Creek Orchestra. Tickets are available HERE (http://www.kensleygrace.com) for $15 in advance for persons 13-and-older. Children 12-and-under are $5 at the door, and the adult door price is $20. The day kicks off at 2:00pm with food trucks, games and a silent auction, with music starting after 7:00pm.
I hope to see you there!
** "What Child Is This?" featured on charity Christmas CD (https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/what-child-is-this/id557387369?i=557387477) **
Last year I recorded a funky version of "What Child Is This?" for a pediatric cancer charity called Rock By The Sea (http://www.rockbythesea.org) . You can find it on iTunes (https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/what-child-is-this/id557387369?i=557387477) , Amazon.com (http://www.amazon.com/What-Child-Is-This/dp/B0094CRM6A) and Google Play (https://play.google.com/store/music/album/Various_Artists_A_Rock_By_The_Sea_Christmas_Volume?id=Bpewv57ph65tne4ze3ngqat5tkm).
This year is Volume Four in their series of Christmas discs, and it features some really cool tunes that I think you'll like.
Take a listen to the entire series HERE (http://rbtsxmas.bandcamp.com) !
