It's Will Turpin's December Newsletter, and I have exciting news to share!

Hi friends, and welcome to my December newsletter,

2014 was a busy year for creating and performing. I’m so fortunate to be able to rock n roll with so many great friends and musicians. Collective Soul played over 60 shows in 2014. Live music is a powerful force and I get to be reminded of that every time we hit the stage. So much appreciation goes to all of the fans who enjoy live rock n roll, we love the energy you provide and feed off of it. CS also completed our 9th studio album, See What You Started By Continuing and I got a copy of the mastered tracks last week! I would share it with you but then I'd have to kill you. Or someone would kill me!  In 2015 we will see its release and a very busy CS touring schedule.

I worked on another solo release this year too… My 2nd solo album will be released in 2015 as well. I have 8 songs that are almost finished and I plan to record a couple more tunes in Dec. and Jan. to complete the project. Most of these songs were written in 2013 and you may have heard some of them here and there. I am eager to finally get the songs out there and to hear feedback from fans and friends.

This 2014 holiday season will be fun and exciting. We performed before Thanksgiving at the Atlantic Station Christmas Tree Lighting and had a blast! I am performing at the second night of Ed Roland And Friends Holiday benefit Show ( at Eddie's Attic in Decatur on Wednesday, December 17. These shows have always been awesome in past years and I am expecting the same this year!

Also in the spirit of giving, last year with the help of Jason Becker, Jason Fowler and Refuge City Church I started a Christmas show idea that I have had for a long time… Rock The Cradle ( . Because of the success and buzz that last year's show started we have planned TWO holiday shows this year!  Sunday, December 21 with one show at 6:00pm and another at 8:30pm at 7 Stages Theater in Little Five Points ( . Tickets are on sale HERE ( ! I like to describe the show as a “Christmas Rock Opera”. It’s a live performance by an 8 piece rock band… made up of long time friends, that are all accomplished musicians. Modern rock arrangements of Christmas classics and some theatrics make a great night for all to enjoy. And like last year we plan to webcast at least one of the shows on StageIt ( for those of you outside of Atlanta.

I hope to see all of you soon. More below... keep reading and keep listening!

** "What Child Is This?" featured on charity Christmas CD **

In 2012 I recorded a funky version of "What Child Is This?" for a pediatric cancer charity called Rock By The Sea ( . You can find it on iTunes ( , ( and Google Play ( .

This year is Volume Five in their series of Christmas discs, and it features some really cool tunes that I think you'll like.

Take a listen to the entire series HERE (!

** The Lighthouse for FREE! **

If you purchased a copy of The Lighthouse since it's release then I thank you! Musicians can't do what we do without fans like you!

If you don't have a copy yet then, well, now you have no excuse... I'm giving away both 'The Lighthouse' and 'The Lighthouse Live' through my Bandcamp page ( through the end of the year.
